Task
Examples of folds, analysis of production, scale and appropriateness. Provide evidence of practical investigation into awareness and usage of a range of folded publications and related pagination issues.
- Produce & print an A4 Black & White guide to producing the folded publication, which is used for the guide.

For this task I decided to create a guide for the making of a hotdog fold booklet. For the first stage of this I made a quick initial example and just sketched in the information so that it would help me work out where in the document the text needs to be placed to work for the booklet.
This was a good idea as this allowed me to see by completing the fold and then writing in information while folded into the booklet I could see where text needed to be placed so that it is in the right order for the booklet but also showed me where the piece of text must be positioned upside down so it folded correctly into the booklet.
The next stage was as there was eight sides of which I could print text on and I had assigned one of them to be the front page as I had found out by doing the mock copy, I then had to write seven direction that show you how to make the hotdog fold booklet and place it in the respective sections I had found out from the mock. Below is my final design for the booklet...
