OUGD504 Studio Brief 02 - Briefing


We were then briefed on the second unit for this module. The brief states that we would have to have to pick a prospective project pitch of which we will then create a full branding range for the prospective company with a main concentration on creating a logo for the company and that it was suggested that It may be best to choose a kickstarter campaign not only that we can relate to and work well with but a project of which has no branding yet, or also branding of which we don't think accurately represents what the company is about! The deliverables were highlighted as firstly the design of the logo for the company but also two additional applications and/or collaterals.

Due to the nature that this project doesn't have massive amounts of emphasis on a full body of work it is important that the logo is researched and develop to the best possible logo it can, and ensure this by looking at all areas needed when designing such as research in to the target audience of the company and what this can tell us, the age, gender, socioeconomic status and many more demographics. This is needed to ensure that the logo is designed perfectly so that it appeals to the demographic of the product and ultimately boosts sales and popularity of the product from a kickstarted campaign to a fully fledged on the market product.

Further than this other than designing for the demographic of the product research in to the ideals and ethos of the chosen company ensuring that the logo is designed in a way that accurately represents what the company and the product and all of the stages of manufacture are about this also helping to boost sales of the product and popularity of the company as it appeals to the consumers that take more care in to what they purchase when choosing products on the quality of the product itself, gaining a specific target market that is needed to see a rise in the popularity of the product!
