OUGD504 Studio Brief 04 - The Website

As it had already been identified that then website I am going to design will need to be the perfect banalise of aesthetically attractive of which will obviously come in the designing stage so that can be left until later. The fact that the other aspect that the design must balanced with is the simplicity and user-friendliness of the website itself it was important for me to identify in advance the aspects of a website that will be necessary to include to make the perfect album release website.

The website must start off with an eye catching and engaging opening/loading screen because as I found in the researchingstage this early engagement from the target audience as soon as they enter the website could be the difference between it becoming a memorable website and not just forgotten and therefore furthermore help to boost album sales and popularity in the group.
Another focus aspect of the website that had been outlined and we necessary to include it making the website as simple and concise as it possibly can be. The fact that the website is only actually as a album release website and will only be up for around three weeks before and after the release of the album means that the need for masses of information is not apparent and actually it is more important to make sure the information on the album is as specific and non-general as it possibly can be as it only relates to the actual release and tour of the album. This will mean that the website may only involve as little asa home page giving necessary information about the album itself and then further related information such as tour date linked to the album release, a place to preorder and purchase the album itself, a look at the artist through music and video and finally a place to purchase related merchandise to the album release.
The final consideration that would be most important when designing the website is designing it with full influence of the target market in mind. This can be achieved by using a user-friendly navigation system which allows the viewer to navigate around the website at ease.
