OUGD503 SB1 - Secret 7" - Research - Chris Lux - Abstract Illustration

The next pic of research for this brief will centre itself around the designer Chris Lux who is an independent [painter and illustrator who instead of creating artwork for big mainstream band instead he designs for smaller more independent bands so to see this insight for work in a more specific and niche genre as this doesn't really apply to Jack Garrett - worry but applies more to Dream 3 as this falls in a much more niche genre, namely contemporary classical music.

In the work Chris Lux implements a much more abstract attempt at illustration of which differs massively to the earlier mentioned expressive where rather than using illustrative imagery to be expressive of the nature of the album instead the illustrations are taken a step further than expressive tot he point in which they become almost abstract and rather then conveying the intended meaning it goes as far as not really expressing the meaning very well at all and instead creating more of a piece of art rather than a means of delivery of content.

The design work conveys very clearly that within this style an almost monotone colour-scheme or even a full spectrum highly saturated colour-scheme can be effective in attraction the potential customers through the abstract eye-catching design.
