Firstly the decision had been made that due to the fact it would be helpful for me to diversify, I will take inspiration from the isometric design and to complete the design in this style, and learn a new skill. This seven day design process will be most appropriate for this idea as it will allow for all the appropriate time needed to learn the new skill and to become proficient with the software, and then still allow for the normal design process and all its steps.
Finally due to the constraints of having to complete the second project in two days mean that the way that my design process is usually executed would have to be concentrated so that the same quality as usual will be achieved, while all achieved in a shorter time period. After having discovered earlier that the use of photography and photo manipulation can be used to achieve a thoughtful and concise design solution in a shorter period of time the decision was made that due to the constraints of the second attempt this method would be most appropriate.
My initial thoughts for the song by Max Richter was centred around the main concept of the song, and the album it is found on and that is contextually centred around the fact that as humans we live an a world of total hustle and bustle, it never stop and offers the listener the music needed to be truly at peace, and finally sleep. Thinking about what was learnt earlier about the software that this will be designed it the decision was made that using the three dimensional modelling software the design would consist of a modelled cityscape but made to look as serene and calm as possible, giving me the opportunity to learn to use a new type of software.
For the second song brief that I will be completing Jack Garrett - Worry the decision was made that due to the small time constraints for the solution of the brief the design would be executed through photography and the photoshop manipulation. The nature of the song suggest that the person who is telling the story within the song is describing the feelings the artist went through in relation to losing a girl that he loved. As one of the iconic lines in the song refers to the girl walking away from him, and leaving everything behind I would like to recreate this through photography, creating a scene by photographing images of a girl walking away to the horizon as a visual depiction of the content of the song.
