As the majority of the packaging design for the unit has been completed it was now time to look on to the extra added aspects of which would help to round off the campaign as a whole and ultimately helps Orchard Pig in achieving their goal and gaining popularity and notoriety. These aspects are the added extras that will also make me stand out of the crowd when submitted to YCN and these additional are what will make it more of a campaign than a solo packaging project.
The extra that was envisioned was that to go along side all of the bottles of Orchard Pig beer sold at retail would be an accompanied tag attached to the bottle that can be seen on a lot go alcohols as a meant of incentive and advertising. In this case each of these tags would include a method of which the bottle of beer could be used in a recipe to make to food better. The tag would give the customer the exact measurements and and instructions in which they could spice up their recipes with bottle of orchard pig. This is a vital part to the campaign as rather than being stuck in the old ways only having customers purchase the cider for the purpose of drinking ti instead opens up a whole new market as it opens it up to customers purchasing it for the purpose of cooking. This would mean that the cider and buzz around the ciders would get to more people, and this is necessary to create brand notoriety and opening the product to many more potential customers. Finally it would also help create interest and traffic of customers through the website as even though they would receive the recipe on the tag, it would include a statement asking customers to go to the orchard pig website to find out more about the recipe and about more recipes the cider can be used in.
The design do the recipe labels was kept in continuity with the rest of the design for this project, with the recurring use of a single colour to represent every different type of the cider, and the label would also feature the continuation of the the individual pig illustrations and grass features. The recipe cards were finished with the typography "This Little Piggy..." to contextualise the whole idea and maintain the re-occurent mischievous and fun related side to the brand and its nature.
